I have a very elementary question.
I know that capacity planning will be done in terms of hours. so lets say output of capacity planning was xyz hours. Now estimation of user stories in sprint backlog are ABC storypoints. Now how do we decide that ABC storypoints can be accomodated in xyz hours?
I see user stories are broken down into task and task estimation will be done in terms of hours and we can map initial capacity xyz hours to this task estimation but this breaking down of user stories into task doesn’t always happen in sprint planning meeting. I’m little confused here.
PS: For this scenario, lets assume that it is first sprint and we do not have any velocity data available.
